Joaquín has primarily focused on handling civil and commercial litigation, arbitration (both in Ecuador and abroad), and mediation since 2005. He mainly represents banks and companies in the commercial, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
He completed his law degree at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil and later obtained a Business for Lawyers diploma from INCAE Business School in Costa Rica.
For several years, he has served as a mediator at the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce and as an arbitrator at the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo.
He is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
